About The Innovation Journey

In partnership with the JDC (The Joint), Israeli AgriTech startups are matched with partners in Sub-Saharan African countries in order to improve the productivity, resilience, output quality, market access, and economic growth of smallholder farmers. This program paves the way for Israeli startups and companies to enter the large agricultural market and make their impact.

The Innovation Journey, existing since 2019, has conducted three successful past cohorts – two in Ethiopia and one in South Africa, The program is led by the JDC (American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee), the world's leading Jewish humanitarian organization, in partnership with the Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry, and with Pears Program for Global Innovation as professional content and execution partner.

About Innovation Journey 4

Innovation Journey is returning to Ethiopia with it's 4th cohort, this time focusing on crop protection, post-harvest and market linkage technologies! The program is designed to help Israeli Ag-tech startups and companies understand their market fit in Ethiopia, and explore partnerships with relevant counterparts that are engaged with small and medium scale farmers in the country. This is a unique opportunity for the companies to learn how to do business with Ethiopian partners, enter an emerging huge market and widen their impact on food security in Ethiopia.
